Thanks worldtraveler100. I shot those with my Nikon Coolpix 5400. The color reproduction is pretty good with that camera, but I have never been quite happy with the focus. It is not as sharp as I'd like. Honestly, it has the look of film. I sent it in for a CCD recall last year, but it must be the nature of that camera to not be "tack" sharp.

Yup when they add video to a photo camera it seems that is where the compromises are. I shoot some of my video with a Canon G9. It's close to HD but it does not let me control shutter speed. You need a faster shutter speed on motion to make things look sharp. The G9 in video mode locks on to a slow speed so you get lot's of motion blur.
I did a lot of shooting on friday with the G9. I'm making a "fantasy race" type video with my scoot. Lot's of POV stuff. But the drive by footage was so bad that i went out again yesterday to reshoot with my big dog (Sony EX1). Looks much better. It should since the camera cost more than my car!
Anyway here's your bone. Keep shootin'

Thanks for the bone WT. I meant to say the stills were shot with the Nikon. The video was shot with a cheap Insignia SD camcorder.
Videography would be something neat to learn about but I am gonna be covered up with Web Design and New Media this spring.

Thanks for sharing! Great vid and pix. Looks like a fun ride. I'm getting to that time of the year when I need to hook a tv and dvd player in the garage. Put a vid on, sit on the scoot and fake it!
