Hey Dawgs, This is my revised homemade camcorder mount. It works fine, but I need to bend it more upright. Here is my first test video. It is just a short trip around the Winthrop University Lake here in Rock Hill, SC. I need to do something about the windy audio when recording.

Turtle - I'm impressed! That worked really well and the quality is really good. +1 and an Oscar! Wind noise - hey that's the rush of air past our heads as we rdie.
I need to figure out a way so I don't have to shoot through the windscreen.

I love the video and think it works just great.
This reminds me of how it sounds and looks as we ride, so - perfect!

Great video mate. keep it up. goes to show one don't need all these high tech stuff to get good results. For wind noise put thick tape (here in new Zealand we call it Gaffa tape or 100mph tape). It is cloth with a plastic coating based. That seems to dampen the high frequencies ( wind noise) and lets the engine noise come thro.

Another thing. Handle bar mounted cameras are subject to all the vibration from the front suspension. The bigger mass of the scoot dampens the vibrations when you mount it on the body of the scoot or your body. On your body is hard to aim tho.
