Well not everyday that the weather gives us a high front over the whole of the south island, which means sunshine both sides of the island. We had no wind at all to which is unique. Well I had to use it to achieve a personal milestone of doing a "coast to coast" and both passes (Arthurs Pass & Lewis Pass) through the Southern Alps in one day. I even went for a 90km trip up the west coast. 600km for the day. The whole way is just one twisty on the next, absolutely fabulous. A matter of just "connect the bends". Lots of other m/c's on the road enjoying the perfect conditions. 10.5 hours out and back. Here is a slideshow. Wow, fantastic pictures, you do have a wonderful country, hope I can visit someday. I never knew that New Zealand had snow capped mountains, learn something new everyday! +1 for you.
