sanjuanscott; Welcome to the Dawg Pound!
If you have read other posts here, you know that we highly recommend you change out the oil soon, then do so a few more times during break in until you hit 1K miles. You most likely already have an NGK spark plug but if not, replace the O.E. plug with one. New scoots often come with the idle speed set too low. If so, you may need to tweak that adjustment up just a little. Many recommend checking the valve gap as it has been found that the gap is often incorrect from the factory. None of these are major things, with the possible exception of valve gap adjustment. Hope you engoy your new scoot. Keep us informed.

I have a Tank Racer and I replaced all the fuel and vac. lines. I also changed out the fuel filter to prevent any future problems. I bought the MRP CDI, Coil and a Iridium plug. I didn't see much of anything in power gains but right away I noticed a smoother Idle. I have 600 miles on it and all have been trouble free. Make sure that you tighten all the bolts and screws right away and then again at every oil change.
