Its a news article regarding scooters and high gas prices and the choice people are making from 4 to 2 wheels. Interesting read if your considering a scooter or have already made the switch.

that is the main reason i am ck in on buying a scooter i am tried of spending 60 plus in gas a week.

The article is a couple of years old. Just after the Hurrican Katrina gasoline price spike. I think it was mentioned here several times already. You'll notice the author is still car biased as he mentions how dangerous scooters are on the roads, et cetera.

These articles come out every three to four months. Primarily advertising in disguise. They are pretty much the same from 2004 onwards, and nothing much has changed.

Can anyone say that scooters are less dangerous than cars, especially when most drivers have a cell phone surgically attached to their ears? Whats with drivers and their inability to drive a car without talking on the phone?? Rant over...

I agree almost everytime Ive had a close call the driver of the cage was on the phone.
