I bought an El-Cheepo digital camcorder ($28) at the close-out store 6 weeks ago (?). I intended it to be used for fishing and maybe scooter pix. I took it out for a test drive and amazing - it works! The quality ain't great and that fact that I was shooting thru the original windshield + part of the extension hurt some. I had it clipped to my jacket and found out later that it shifted when I leaned and didn't always come back to level. In the video, it's the camera that's tilted not the scoot. It took about 4 times as long to edit out waits at stops than it did to do the ride. Here's about a 5 mile ride. s722.photobucket.com/albums/ww224/ldmitchell_photos/?action=view¤t=scooterride1.flv

The video looked good, for what you paid think you got a good deal on it. Thanks for sharing it.

Not too shabby for the economy-cam! I enjoyed the video.

Thanks Rich & Tom. The 2 gig SD card holds about 30 minutes. I had another vid but I hadn't erased old stuff on the card. The card filled up and didn't close the file properly so it was corrupted so I haven't been able to open it.
Editing with Windows Movie Maker was a pain but it works. I'll have to try some of the other software we have next time.
