Saturday, my friend and I had plans to take our bikes out to the motorcycle testing range, so I can try it with my scooter. Plan got cancle due to my scheduling change. So we went on Sunday instead.
It was a nice looking Sunday where the sun was just out to hanging and my emotions filled with intention to get my face whacked by the wind. My friend with a 750cc Suzuki Gsxr and I with my 50cc scooter drove a long short journey to the motorcycle testing range. It was my first attempt to the longest trip I had ever taken with my scooter. I went to pack a couple of water bottles under my sear, just incaseI am pretty much a wimp when it comes to traffic with my scooter, but we made it. The wind nice and cool with the sun beating into my face. My half helmet whizzing due to the vent holes as I drove 30mph up hills and down. My friend has a different story to tell and probably would be the opposite since he was struggling to stay at lower speed. I guess it was kinda boring for him but it was so much fun for me. I drove past cars and wanting to know what they were thinking when they saw my friend drive by then I am just trailing along. The fun part was standing a bit off the seat so my bumps and pot holes wouldn't hurt bun rash. hehe After about 10 miles we reached the testing range only to find that there was a live test in session. My friend was giving me some pointers during my brief watch as the cyclist driving slowly around cones. I wished I could of taken my scooter and see if I could of done the test.
My wife called and I had to go back home and grab the car to pick her up. So as soon we reach the intersection, my friend he will get on the interstate and ask if I knew how to get back home. I nodded and my journey back home was not as frightful as I thought. It took me about 30 minutes to get back home but it was so beautiful. Each tree that I passed waved at me a few times and the traffic pretty light where it almost felt I owned my own laned hence I ignored the cars passing me. My scooter and I made it home safely. I think my scooter and I had a smile on our faces for the rest of the day.
