Anyone know if you have to take the front end apart on this scoot to adjust headlights?

Hello torque: You may be able to get your hand up in there from underneath (long shot). I would try taking off the windshield then that plastic plate, at that point I think you can get to them.
Good luck

torque, I'm afraid that you won't able to get to the lights just by removing the windshield and and the plate but I'd start there and you'll see if there's enough room for you to reach. There's a whole bunch of screews that you have to get before you can remove the front mask. They're hidden in both glove compartments and underneath the overlapping plastic on both sides. My question is if you're going to be able to adjust the head lights. Are they adjustable? I'd also change the lightbulbs if I had the front removed. I believe that there is an article in the tips and mods section for Linhai. I know that the high beam shines up which is really annoying. Keep us posted. Nik

Hi Torque
This is from a post I made when I replaced the bulbs and adjusted the headlights on my Linhai 300. Note that when you look up under the fairing you'll see that on one side the adjuster knob is white and the one on the other side it is black.
I tried to reach them from under the fairing in the front of the scooter to see if they could be adjusted without taking everything apart. I could do it. They are very easy to turn. Because of the tight space it takes both hands with a finger on each side of the knob. Later I discovered that the rubber cup that goes on the back of the headlights fits on in between the bottom of the headlight housing and the top of the adjustment knob. This may make the knobs hard to turn from underneath the faring. If that is the case I think the rubber cap could be pushed back to free the adjusters and slid back on from underneath. It’s worth a try before taking everything apart to get at them.

Scootncoot is right! I didn't noticed the knobs before. They're actually very easily accessible. Unfortunately my low beam light knob was stuck and I couldn't move it but I was able to adjust the high beam light. Nik

Well, it appears this may be more of a headache than I had hoped for. The adjuster knobs only adjust up/down, correct? My hi beams shine too far to the right, illuminating the rh berm of the road. From what I can tell, it looks like the whole reflector/headlight assembly for my hi beam was mis-aligned from the factory. So I guess I'm back to trying to figure out if I can re-align it without taking off the whole front fairing. Any suggestions?

Hm...back to square one. Try what allworld is suggesting. To remove the windshield and the black plastic plate isn't too much work. I had the front fairing off and it didn't take too much. You have to work one screw after another. Nik

This is old- I know, but my experience might help someone else who comes along. It may not be torque's problem at the time, but I just caused and realized a similar problem for myself. In process of changing out the HI/Low beam bulbs to 55W- I turned each on to check that it worked. Right Hand (from driver's vantage point, looked out of focus/cattywampus when shining on garage door. Looked back in there and I had not seated correctly, or had wiggled the bulb so that it was no longer seating flat against it's holder. Repositioned it and re-installed the retaining screw and light appears to be in correct orientation now- just brighter with the new bulb. James
