Hey all.. I have read many post here about finding out where your scooter was made using the numbers found on the scoot. Some of the plants have better quality than other..
Well I have a Chinese made Dual Sport motorcycle. A 2006 Roketa DB07.
I was hoping someone could tell me what these number mean.. if they mean anything. I put the battery info too.. since I have never once had any issues starting the bike even after several weeks of sitting, I though you might have an opinion on the battery manufacturer, or that it could tell you something about where the bike was made.
The battery says: T.E.T. YTX7A-BS Tong Yong Battery Co.
Its a 2006 Roketa DB07 OHC engine The engine casing has this on it: 163FMI *5K050015*
Thanks Ken

Thanks for the reply... The Wikipedia info was good... But the NHTSA link did not shed any light on it...
I tried putting the numbers I had in several ways..and it found nothing..
Also it is late and I am tired.. might just be missing something obvious...
Thanks for your help

Usually the VIN sticker and or plate on the scooters states the name of the company that assembled the scooter last. tell us what the first three digits of your VIN are and maybe we can shed some light on that as well.

Hey Kens; My Scoot had two Ident. plates attached with US required info...one line named the Manufacturer in China...I was able to get their website with a Google search. Found my scoot by frame, engine & body style...but NOT same name (Magster) as on my scoot imported to US. First three letters of VIN on my scoot is LYD. Have a Good One.........just "Bob" in NC

Hey all well the first three of the VIN are:
A1Z
I posted to China Riders.. I am on there a lot. But I did not get any answers except to check on the swing arm for more info.. I have not had a chance to do that yet.
The reason I asked here.. was I have seen this discussed many times.. and figured someone here might know.
Thanks for your help.
