As the title says I see these in the islands dropped but would really like to know how this is done.

Well you need to find a set of shorter shocks.You could cut the springs and shock down a little but it is tricky to do. Another thought is to reweld the shock mounts to give it a lower shock position too. Then cut down the front fork springs to lower the front end a little too. I suppose some guys might even cut the fork tubes down a little and remachine the tubes. You lose front a rear suspension travel and ride quality may suffer on rough roads, but if it is flat and not rough it probably doesn't matter much.
Oh yeah, if your scooter has 12 or 13 or 16 inch wheels, you could go a size or two smaller in wheels, for example, say from 12 inch to 10 inch wheels.

You will have to modify the side and centerstands, or take them off. You will lose ground clearance, won't be able to lean in turns as good.

Reasson Why I would like to drop a gy6 scooter is the appeal , They look really good slammed , Who really cares about a center stand not me I got a motorcycle lift table if I need to do drastic work.. I got a spare set of front forks around here I might try shorting the legs on .. I'ma play with it see what works .. thanks guys
