Alsenor inspired this with all the great pics and stories he has shared of the bikes from his youth. I'll start it with my first MC. The story is that my High School buddy taught me how to ride at age 14 on the island of Haiti. A few years later we connected again at collage in the US. That is when i bought my first ride. In this pic I'm on the right and Vince is on the left.

Just for contrast to Haiti, here is my first ride, bought with the first few shillings I had earned. Winter morning in Vienna after a good night's snowfall. ;D

Ymoto Vortec 150, acquired slightly-used, November 2006. Stolen, February, 2007... a blessing in disguise. This thing was a real piece of crap. Maybe that's why I went straight to Taiwanese scooters and never looked back. .

I don't have a pic of my first one either, but jct842's shows it. Mine was similar to the 2nd from left, only it was international orange and the guy I bought it from said it was a 50cc, he thought. It would do about 40mph and I could ride a couple of days on a tank of gas, probably got about 70+ mpg and I rode the heck out of it.

I got my first Bernelli minibike at 7 I rebuilt it at 16, along the way I had many a bike. Next to it in this pic you can see the rear of my old honda 55, which later I sold and got a honda 90. Man I loved the old Honda 90. As far as real scooters go a few years ago I bought a truck load of 49cc scooters for the family. Unfortunately they just werent fast enough to ride around our area so we sold them all. Now I won't have anything under a 150cc. The green 2 cycle motorcyle we called Kristine. Everyone of my kids who tried to ride it got hurt. We bailed on it and went back to no clutch scooters Attachments:

This is a picture of my very first scooter, a 1963 Allstate Compact sold through Sears & Robuck Company. I bought it used for $35.00 and brought it home in a bushel basket. I ended up putting over 10,000 miles on it and sold it in 1965 for $150.00. My second scooter/motorcycle was a Honda 150cc Dream. I bought this in 1965 with part of the funds from the sale of the Allstate Compact. It was also used, I paid $350.00 for it, drove it over 22,000 miles and sold it for $375.00. I wish I still had it, it was a really great rider. (Note: this is not the actual photo of mine but of one just like it.)
