I really hate to read about roketa owners having to spend so much time working on their scooters than actually enjoying them. I guess my Roketa was made on a wednesday. I can't say I haven't had problems from mine. Yes my carb has needed cleaning once, and my speedometer cable came undone and needed reattaching, but that's about the severity of problems I've had. And I'm nearing 9000km, am I just LUCKY?? My scooter runs just about (^90%) as good as the day I bought it. I finally decided to open my cvt a few days ago and was suprised to see a bando belt and that it wasn't worn to bad, just some slight cracks down in the grooves of the teeth. So I ordered a new Gates belt that should be here by Sat. I am concerned about my variator cause the weights have worn the ramps "shiny", is this normal? and is my variator still usable?? Thanks -Justin a.k.a WildBill

Looks fine, just normal wear. The rollers don't really roll, they slide. Have they got big flat spots? Some won't hurt much.

If you don't have any cracks in the variator, don't worry about it. usually the roller weights tend to get flat spots in them after a while. So replacing the flat sided rollers doesn't hurt anything.

Thanks for the reccomendations. 4 out of 6 of my weights had about 2 flat spots each. But, the spots are very minor and hard to spot, so when i get my new belt in, I'll use them for a week or so until some new ones come in. If the variator is okay i will keep it till I save enough for a dr pulley. Thanks earlwb & swampsniper
