I live in the West Ghent section of Norfolk, VA. Nice laid-back (ie safe to ride) residential area. I have a 1 mi commute to work and a 1.5 mile commute to school in downtown everyday. There are more and more scoots on the road around here, and its nice to hear the horn or see the nod and wave when we pass by each other. here's my ride:

I'm jealous comparing to what I take on a 5.5 mile commute to work every day: The styling & extra storage would be sweet.

thanks guys. i usually only leave the box on the back for school or errands. if i'm just going to work, i take the box off and carry my helmet in with me. its nice because parking sucks, but i never seem to have that problem. she gets up to 45mph tops...but it needs a lot of time to get from 35-45. luckily my commute us all <25mph, and i have no problems running at that speed.

i got the trunk from scooterdomain.com for about $80(i got the big one). it fits a full-size helmet with a little extra space. it can fit my backpack with books and laptop with a little room to spare. the scoot itself comes with a luggage rack, which works nice for small stuff you can bungee down.

Sorry for late reply, but I just saw your post.
I live in Riverpoint, just behind DePaul Hospital.
Retired, so I don't commute to work, but I buzz all over the city.

Wow, you could almost pack the scoot into the top box and take it inside with you!
I commute about 7 miles each way on a 150, all city streets. Really, I think we have more in common with the 50cc riders than with the bigger scoots. My local club, I can't go on most of their rides planned for the 200+ crowd, but a 50 could manage almost everything designed for us.
