Early spring ride, Eastern edge of Flint Hills

I took a quick ride today, covered 90 miles in about 2 1/2 hours. I made a big loop starting on K4 highway from Topeka, Ks. to Dover and Eskridge. Highway 99 to Admire, US 56 to Osage City, Burlingame, and rural roads to Auburn Ks. Not a lot of green yet. I averaged 73 mpg, fighting head and cross winds of 15-25 mph. I will try to cover this again after things green up.

Hey crsjrr, I can comply with your statement about fighting the cross winds. I live in Junction City and rode to Abilene and Salina about a month and a half ago and fought the winds all the way. I was hoping to get out today but the weather has changed considerably. Maybe when it gets warm and decides to stay warm maybe we can meet half way between JC and Topeka and go for a ride.
