I have my scooter tuned basically just like I want except for one thing, It hesitates for about a second or more just before take-off. Once you pull the throttle all the way back and wait a second, it has enough takeoff power to pull a wheelie. I just wish I could eliminate that little hesitation at first. Any Ideas?

Have you tried moving the clip on the jet needle for better results? Moving the clip up would be more lean and down would be more rich. I would start by moving the clip towards rich and see what happens. Make sure your idle mixture and speed is set properly as well. Let the engine warm up to operating temperature. Find the mixture screw on the carburetor and adjust it 1/4 turn at a time to find the highest RPM then go 1/8 turn towards rich to be on the safe side. Turning the screw in should richen, out should lean the mixture. Use the idle speed screw to set the RPM to around 1800. Sometimes even setting the RPM an extra 100RPM higher can eliminate slight hesitation.
