The folks at scooter review rated the Keeway Venus 3rd in their test of 11 50cc scoots (ahead of one Vespa and other pricier scoots): www.thescooterreview.com/reviews/comparison-tests/181-2008-50cc-super-battle?showall=1The scooter store I bought from stocks Keeway...it's the only Chinese scoot they sell, the owner/mechanic says they're good scoots, and he wouldn't sell anything that needed a lot of warranty work (he also sells Lambretta, ADLY, and SYM). Our local Kymco / PGO dealer here in Las Vegas also sells the Keeway, and also claims that it is somehow better than the other Chinese scoots on the market. I seem to remember him saying that his Keeway people were very good about getting warranty parts out in a timely manner.
He also said that he didn't believe it to be in the same league as the Kymco, however.

Last night I tested my scoot 0-31 MPH, as in the reviews. The BEST I could get was 14 seconds, even though I have a 2 Stroke and that seems to be 4 stroke speed according to the review. I noted that my 0-20 time was around 7 seconds. And actually, my acceleration is not bad, I easily keep up with traffic off stop lights. So now I wonder exactly how he did the testing. The one scoot that did 0-31 in 9 seconds is just so amazing to me for a 50cc, it gets me to wondering if the test is legit, or if there was a tailwind, or if the tester weights 100 lbs soaking wet!
