This is my 1999 Hyosung Sense (SD50) I'm the original owner. It's really a well made little scooter: THE most comfortable seat, nice ride. This is my one week old 'o9 SYM HD125 Even better!

We have a place not far from here were I've been able to order parts...but so far all I have needed to replace is a gas cap, horn and turn signal bulb. Honestly, between 1999, and last fall, I had only 300 km on it. (then DH bought a cheap scooter so we could ride together) All DH has done with the Hyosung Sense was to "cut" a rev-limiter wire, which gave it a bit more punch.

The dealer cut the wire and took the washer off the variator, 40 mph. I installed the tecnigas muffler, 45 mph. Polini variator and lighter weights, 48 mph. A little bigger jet came with the muffler and adjusting the needle helped alot. I would love to hit 50 on flat surface but right now I would rather increase my low end. I'm hoping changing the springs will help. I finding it hard to believe there is not a DISTRIBUTOR HERE. Mark it up 20%, charge a return fee, what ever. Taxman

You know what? I think Hyosung has a distribution place in Norcross, Georgia-- My SD 50 can go 40+ but I wouldn't want to go any faster than that on those small wheels! This is a quote (not me) from another board: "Hyosung has a distribution deal with United Motors. Find a UM dealer and you'll be fine. Hyosung's US base is Norcross GA. I know this because I applied for a District MGR job with them. They are working on a dealer network so be patient."
