I ordered a Polini Sport kit today ;D. I figure this is a good kit to start with. They say its got alot of low end, and mid power, thats what im looking for. It also looks like my 18mm carb with some jetting, and my pipe will be plenty good enough to keep this set up cool and tuned . Im just thankful i could kinda afford it .?. Anyone else run a Polini 70cc kit? Looks like a good one to me I bet it doest slow my scoot down anyway.lol

I was going to buy a Polini. But i bought a MRP for a $100 ship. Where did you order from? Did you get a deal? What kind of pipe are you using? I hope it works out good for you.

Hey dude,Sweet aviator man! $100 for an MRP kit shipped? Dang, thats a good deal. I got my kit from Scoot-attack for about $140 shipped with a couple other small things. Im using a POS (performance) pipe that i got from GMI. Its not a performance pipe like they said, but it is still better that stock. Its chambered, im gonna cut it apart when i get a new one so i can see what really goin on in there. Im shopping for a better pipe next, this one just looks good.lol Thanks man, I will let you know how it works. How your scoot runnin?

Can't say I've heard much bad about Polini's stuff. They're pretty well known for good parts with lots of small 2 strokes. I don't think you'll be disappointed. That's a good price for that brand.

I have been wanting to get another scoot for awhile to save money, and have fun with legal transportation. LMAO, the fun part is working. I will let you know how the Polini kit does.

The price turned out to be a bit more than i thought, $165 shipped . Thats still not bad for the cylinder kit and some little stuff. Im good with the carb for now, thanks anyway kliff

Hey Dude, since you were the only one to contact me about the carb, you still get 1st refusal rights. But it ain't an 18mm like I said, it's been boxed up so long, I'd forgotten, it's a 24mm TM Mikuni, never had gas in it, never installed. Just make me an offer, like I said.

No problem, Dude says he's had trouble tuning flat slides before, and sometimes they can be finicky.... so I suggested he might wanna pass on it. Since he didn't make an offer, I'll just stash it back away. Might get me another smoker one day.....LOL! Or even build up a hotty 139qmb 72cc..... either way, it might come in handy, so I'll just hang on to it for a while.

I got the Polini 70cc kit installed yesterday. Everything went smooth on install, and the scoot runs great, tons of low end punch! I think my fears were correct though. I think its getting alittle hot due to exhaust restriction, so i might have to let it sit until i pick up a real pipe or modify this one. Unless Vert wants to part with his old pipe???lol

Glad you got it running. Just curious, what makes you think it is running too hot? Sorry, I think I'm going to keep my MRP pipe. You're probably better off without it, it may spring a leak at any moment. If you are looking around for an affordable pipe, I came across an Endy for $140 HERE.HERE is a pipe tht looks just like the MRP (minus the MRP logo on the silencer) for $209 shipped.

It seemed it wasnt getting enough exhaust out the pipe due to restriction, there for i thought it might be getting to hot. When checking the plug after the first run i noticed it was a little to lean. I ended up spending the day modifying my pipe(flows alot better), and playing with jets. Now it runs great, the plug looks good, and it is getting allot better exhaust flow. Thanks for helping me shop for a pipe Vert, im gonna be investing in a real one soon. Is Endy a good brand? New one to me... Looks like a killer deal though, if its a real perf. pipe. Mine looked like that to and ended up being a sweet looking fat a#% expansion chambered piece of crap. After looking inside it looks just like inside a stock pipe, just looks thats all. It was quieter than my weedwhacker with the stock cylinder on it(the scooter), but yet it was advertised as a performance pipe. Ohh well, live and learn. Im still happy, this Polini Sport kit rocks!Scoot-Attack wasnt kidin when they said its a wheely addicts fix.

I've been searching for the last 20 minutes or so and I can't come up with any good info on the Endy. I would guess it would be better to stay away from them, but I'm not really sure why. There are posts on other forums saying Endy pipes are crap, but no one really explains why. A couple of people have said they look good, but don't perform as they should. They then go on to recommend Yasuni or Malossi pipes which are way out of the Endy price range. That's why I'm not sure if it's really a bad pipe or if it just doesn't perform like the high end parts. At that rate, I doubt that the MRP will perfrom with the Yasuni etc... either. I don't really know of any dealers for those pipes in the US either. Overseas shipping can cost almost as much as the Endy. I paid $120 to ship my Leo Vince ZX to total $323 for that pipe. The Yasuni pipes start around $200 and go way up in price for some models, so you're looking at easily double the price of an Endy. At least I do know from my own experience that an MRP pipe works. You can feel it hit and it pulled me to a higher top end. Once I got used to the pipe being installed I hated to ride without it (tried a few times to cut down on noise). Technigas is a popular brand and you can get them from US dealers. They offer a few versions for minarelli engines. rallyrrr actually has one and modded it. Leo Vince makes a ZX pipe that would fit and they are available from US dealers as well. I've heard mixed reviews on these pipes. Some people have said they are restriced and need to be modded and I saw someone say they cut theirs apart and there were no restrictions inside. One person said it's setup like a stock exahaust inside. I ordered the 100cc version for an Aerox and it was voted as one of the best pipes by a couple of European scooter mags a few years ago. They could be totally different designs (not just resized/shaped for cc), not sure. There are too many mixed reviews on some of the pipes out there.
