Ive been looking for better hiway ratio for my Vento. Iam looking at the over all ratio's. Not sure if this is right way to do it. I counted the revolutions of the clutch bell to one rev. of the wheel. My scoots are Zuma 14 3/4 to 1 Vento 11 1/4 to 1 Linhai 10 1/2 to 1 I bought the Zuma because you could get up Gears. Unhappy because my scoots have better hiway gears stock. What secondary gears do i need for the Zuma to be better than the Vento or Linhai?

You're on the right track counting clutch bell revolutions per tire revolution, that would be your final drive ratio (or a close estimate of it). You'd need to pull the transmission apart and count the teeth on all gears to get the exact ratio I believe. As it seems you already know, you'll be shooting for a lower number for more top speed and a higher number for more acceleration. Be careful how low you go or you may not be able to pull to your top speed very well or have a harder time keeping a good speed against wind and uphill. I don't know much about gearing for these scoots (haven't needed a gear swap so far), but I have read that people like to stay 10-10.5:1 final drive ratio for most scoots without pretty beefy engines. Of course everyone has different needs and preferences.
I read on another forum that there are no secondary gears that fit the Zuma, but there are primary. Dunno if that's true or not, but I saw it posted on more than one occasion. It probably depends what year your Zuma is as well. I think some are certical engines and some are horizontal, so the transmission parts may vary as well.
