I just ordered a set of Dr.pully sliders for my scoot. From what ive read these are allot better way of variating. I dont know anybody thats tried them out. Anybody done the roller to slider switch? Are they really that much better?

I've never messed with sliders so all I can tell you is what I've heard... both perform about the same but the sliders wear less.

I was happy with them. You could tell they shift better. Gained mph ? weather was diff (cold) and iam heavier. Ive added a Malossi Var. Not sure if its worth the money vs. stock w/ sliders.(work a little better) But iam going BB soon. May try sliders in the Malossi Var.
PS. i found some sliders at Parts Unlimited. Called Adige may be cheaper. They have diff compounds.

Oh yeah, the sliders. I put a set off Dr.pulley 4.5g sliders in, and they made a diff. A pair of those combined with a set of 2000rpm(red)clutch springs, and a 1000rpm(blue)torque spring made my scoot a totally different ride. Today, without any changes to the motor my scooter pulled me an average of 9mph faster up a pretty steep hill about 1mile long. I was only able to run about 30mph at the steepest part of the hill with the old set up, now with this set up it didnt drop below 39mph. I would recomend them to anyone.

Did you gain on top end on flat ground?

I could hit about 47 on flat ground with the old setup, now i can cruise about 50 on flat ground with no wind. Im running premix now, but that shouldnt make the results much, if any different. All within the speed limit of course ;D
