Today was very nice, and i had time to play around with my scoot. I noticed it only runs good(no dead spots, sluggish, etc.) when the air/fuel mix is only about 1/4 to 1/2 turn out. That would make this thing lean as hell right? I checked my plug after some warm WOT use and its light tan, so im not worried about being too lean. What do you think? Also, i got curious, and unplugged my enricher when my scoot had been ran, but sat for about a half hour so was semi-cool lol. It ran better than ever, well the whole 3 weeks ive owned it anyway. It seemed to load up alittle if it idled for awhile, but pulled harder than it does with it plugged in. Do you think my enricher is bad? or carb needs jetted? Maybe my reeds are weak. Now im thinking to much again

If the mixture screw is a quarter to a half turn out that should be blocking more air, or making the idle mixture more rich. The mixture screw should only have only a minimal influence on anything above 1/4 throttle. If you have the pilot mixture set on the rich side, that may be why your scoot doesn't like the enrichener. If you are trying to fatten up the idle mixture to compensate for problems with applying throttle or 1/4 open + throttle positions you may want to try changine the position of the clip on your jet needle. Moving the clip down will richen up the midrange, and of course up will make it more lean. Clip position can make a big difference if you have a problem with stumbling or hesitation when you try to open the throttle fast.

Thanks for the advice 90GTVert. I i set my idle-air 1and half tuns out from seat, plugged my enricher back in, moved my clip one notch down on the needle, and set my idle. I had enough of a break in the rain for a 5mile ride to enjoy. It ran good, still a little dead spot though. If i get up to cruzing speed(take the load of the motor), it will sputter if i back off to about 3 quarter throttle. Any less throttle and its smooth, any more and it pulls good. It only did this when the motor wasnt under a load though, so i can deal with it for now. Its still better than it was yesterday.

If the problem is only at around 3/4 throttle it could be the main jet or the jet needle.
