I guess time will tell, as I will not be able to test it out for a couple more months. 12" of snow on the ground with 6-10 more inches expected in the next few days, along with temperatures below 0 degrees F ! It still ran really good before I removed the engine for the winter teardown. I'm considering making one of the headlights on my dual setup an air collector, plumbed to the intake Like I said before though, the real reason for doing this was not really to increase performance, but to get the carb untangled from the stupid Chinese engine mount design to make room for my CNC machined/Hand fabricated aluminum design ;D shown here

I'M doing the same install with my carb but I'm running a tube down to the bottom of the scooter, Its going to be like an cold air intake. The filter sits on the carb and the tubing goes over the filter and then down. I'm not sure if its going to work still waiting on the carb but it should.

It runs great plus its so easy to change the jets or adjust the air fuel mixture screw. Plus when im riding it i can feel the air going right to it. The old way i couldn't get the filter to fit vary tight spot. plus i hatted taking the carb on and off to adjust the air-fuel screw. IT WORKS GREAT
