Hello Buddymom,
I too have had 'issues' with the Kodak software when wanting to download pics. There are two things that are pretty easy work arounds I have 'discovered' that don't require just using a different program other than the Kodak one.
Easy; once the Kodak program 'does its thing' and all your pics are nicely nestled in their new home, you can simply drag and drop them individually to your desktop, or a folder you have created on your desktop.
Better alternative, but sometimes just doesn't want to work (?) is to change the destination of the downloaded pics. I send mine to a CD. When this is the choice, you have the images 'forever' and can do what ever you like late on without fear of losing them. When th is does not want to work for me, I am certain it is something I am doing wrong, like messing up the exact name of he destination disc or something that simple.
Third fix is to uninstall the Kodak software and use a different program to handle the pics! Kodak software always manages to show up when I do anything with my camera and PC, even though I use a different default program for the pictures, still the Kodak crap starts up and wants to play too.
Hope this might be useful! ;d

thanks rerun, i will try that. it let me before, then they did an upgrade to their software that's when it started. i'll try that next time. so did you get to see the pics by the way? scoot did wonderful coming down even at 75-80 mph. but i was trying to re-trailer it and we fell down and went boom. so that's the end of the perfect new scoot. and phaze yes that's the little bro, didn't you read the comments under the pics? it tole what they were. and i know it's gonna cost me, just not sure what yet. t
