My question seems a bit too general yet I definitely have a problem. My dietech 50 is much slower suddenly from 22mph-31mph. I have put an aftermarket pipe on it, I have 6.5 rollers installed and this thing used to haul buttocks in comparison to it's former stock self. When I initially made the modifications the scoot would excellerate thru the 20's right up where a powerband would take over around mid thirties and then would thrust up to 49. I feel a significant slowing at 22mph now and it dogs along all the way up to mid thirties. I put some injection cleaner in the tank. I changed the plug, what else should I be looking for? Whats the deal with a water filter or whatever it is people are installing on their scoots? I just need some suggestions towards a diagnostics string..things I should try and etc...

Try 4.5 - 5.0g rollers and a yellow contra spring at the back. You need to transition quickly through the lower rpm band that your new pipe no longer supports.

Since the power loss is only from 20-30mph, I wouldn't be looking toward the engine. If it is acting mostly the same otherwise, you need to check out the CVT. I'd probably try a stiffer contra spring.

I have aftermarket rollers already installed and a new pipe as well. This scooter was running very well for a couple of months. This change has occurred just recently with no modifications...It's this reason that I'm under the impression its fuel related. I put injector cleaner in the tank about ten miles ago, no change.

Would the Contra spring have worn a bit and become less stiff? The scooter has 5500 miles on it....

the contra spring can lose some stiffness over time.

5500miles, maybe the belt is starting to go. Is it the original?
