Girl brings her Beamer into my shop and asks if I can fix it for her. About a week or so ago she laid it over and it wouldn't start. I really didn't do a whole lot to it to get it started. Now she brings it in and says it is blowing dark black smoke on occasion and she is getting a vibration when she pulls to stop lights and such. I started it and it seems to be running fine and I didn't see the black smoke. Anyone give me some ideas on what to look for? I don't normally work on these because I don't sell them. I sell the 49.5 cc Roadrunner scooters. 4 stroke etc. But she is cute so I figured I wanted to work on hers. LOL

Black smoke is usually from being rich. The spark plug should tell you if it's a constant problem. Usually excess oil smoke is kind of a blueish grey color. Make sure the choke isn't stuck or sticking at times.
Sometimes a scoot will vibrate bad when stopped if the clutch stays engaged. You could try lowering the idle a little.
