Ran over to the Walmart, to exchange a pair of jeans for the wife.. It was a nice ride... Got snubbed by all but one other rider.. found that quite interesting.. Anyway, Had my jacket and helmet, so I wasn't cold.. Had my coffee, which kept me also warm while I rode..Yes, I drank it WHILE i was riding.... But, my hands got a bit cold.. Should have worn gloves I guess... But I didn't want anything to interfere with my cigar and coffee.. hahaha.. Seriously though 64° Fahrenheit isn't cold.. BUt it makesa chilly ride when you hit 45/50.. hehehe..
All in all though, it was fun, and I am glad I got to ride a bit today..

Yesterday (Sunday) was great here. Low 70's a brisk wind, but sunny and warm mostly. I was able to get some errands done on my scoot and some country riding. The leaves are turning, the air was fresh and most drivers were in watching NFL and NASCAR.

Got my engine and gear oils changed a day before yesterday. I took a long ride yesterday than usual. I usually ride 25 miles round trip from home to work, but I did 50 yesterday alone. I found some interesting roads about 5 miles from my home. I forgot to tell my wife that I would be home late but......I usually get home late anyway. I found a 3 miles of snake like road in a forest (Blue Hill Reservoir). Speed limit is 35 but some cars behind were not patient enough so I have to pull on a side to let them pass. I'm going to ride this road for a couple weeks to see the foliage and will take some pictures too.

Why is it some people will not enjoy the sights a little. I mean, Holy Cow, 3 miles of snake like road in a forest and you'd think a 35 mph speed limit would be fine. (Nice of you to let them go by). I live in NoDak and would love to have a "snake like road in a forest" to drive through. Our daughter lived for 4 years in Lowell MA and again for 4 years in Groton MA and that would have been a total blast to have had the scoot out there for a week. And yes the fire red of some of your trees is unbelievable. Ride safe and often. Garyr

ALthough a speed demon in my youth, I now find the speed limits set entirely too high on most roads.. I would love to just coast along nice and easy... but, we live in a gotta have it yesterday society.. so dont look for it to change.. although the way we are headed, how fast DOES a camel go?

Well you can have our cold now - I want summer. Summer here now, but tomorrow could be winter again.
