Holy crap the same thing happened to me the other day I know my signals were working but ppl are stupid. I try to use and signals as well when there is heavy traffic so as an added feature in hopes people will see my arms moving. Well glad you made it home safe

Glad it was almost. I live on a kinda busy road with a 50mph speed limit and anyone that comes here often can tell you that left turns into my driveway are treacherous. People passing, locking up the brakes, you name it. I know the feeling, and it sucks.

lol take a more aggressive line imo
i had a green left turn arrow at a 5 way intersection that wasn't very busy. there were 2 streets i could turn onto and i went to turn onto the far one (completely legal). some dumb bitch in a POS rust bucket car went to turn right on red only she was going to turn into the street further away from her, not her immediate right. lol its kinda confusing to explain but we both ended up slamming the brakes and avoiding a head on collision. aforementioned dumb bitch looks at me with a stupid blank look so i kicked her front bumper when i went by. left a sizable dent too

I was on my little Honda 90 I used to have.. It was a 64 IIRC, anyway, The guy stopped so close to me, I just leaned onto his hood, and scratched a Z on it.. Smiled, he flipped me the bird, I kindly returned the gesture.. And away we went... this was in 91, He was driving a brand new Mitsubishi GTO.. I saw him again in 95, and he was driving a Porche 944, He told me he later realized he wasn't paying atention enough, and actually went and took a motorcycle safety course, and a driving refresher course, because he wanted to have a better idea of what he could do to make sure he didn't kill someone next time.. He was real cool... I told him I felt bad about the scratch in the paint, but he said it was what caused him to do it, because it was there every day, all the time he drove the car, he saw that scratch, until he finally got it fixed, but it took a while for the insurance to approve it.. During that time, it was a reminder of how close we got...

I live about 3/4 way down a steep hill and its a left turn into the driveway. The scooter has never made the left turn, just to damn dangerous. Even the car come up the hill in the winter for a right hand turn.
We have at least on accident a year in front of the house from icy roads. Cars cant get up hill and slip/slide etc

In the short time I've been riding, I have come to accept the premise that there will always be a lot of "almosts" for nearly all of us, regardless of how careful WE are. It's always great to live to ride another day. Be safe, dawgs and dawgettes.

I "almost" got whacked by a fellow who thought it alright to make a right turn into the left lane from a parking lot the other day. I almost used the center of the road as an escape(Turn lane on the other side of the road). At the next light he rolled down his window and apologized.
"Sorry about that."
"No worries. I saw you, you didn't hit me."

When I started riding on the road my Dad said, "There's always some idiot out there waiting to get you. Your job is to not let him."
