Where do I find parts for this motor? It has a bad piston and cylinder. I can't find parts for this exact model. It is a verticle piston. I have looked at the popular websites but have had no luck. Thanks

If it's the vertical engine then are you sure it's not the 1E41QMB? If so, then check here........ www.scootusa.comKarl

I have checked the numbers about 10 times to be sure I have the right numbers. What do these numbers stand for anyway? I recently rebuilt a Vento motor and the piston from it was too tall to fit in this motor. Figured it was worth a shot. I sent an email to scootusa, I will see what they say. Thanks

What year, make and model is the scoot?
The 40QMB is a very popular motor.
I don't know the reason it's named as it is, but would like to!

The mumber appears to be closely related to engine bore in many cases from my experience with Chinese motors.
1E40QMB (49cc 2 stroke) = 39mm or 40mm Bore (I have seen it quoted both ways) 1E50QMB (90cc 2 stroke) = 50mm Bore QMB139 (49cc 4 stroke) = 39mm Bore
There are more like that out there. My Chinese midbike engines were the same way a lot of the time. That was the only way you could tell some apart because dealers liked to sell 49cc bikes as 70cc bikes and stuff like that.
