Ok I finally went and took photos last night of the LED. I didn't get the tripod out so the no flash pics are blurry being hand held at the slower shutter speed. So I took on with the night scene flash so you can see it just can't tell how bright they are. But you get the idea. I think I need more though

My husband & son bought them for me for Mother's day. They were about $15 a strip at Pep Boys, and my hubby installed them for me in about 1/2 hour.
I want a couple more strips to make it light up more.

Yeah just 2, one under the front and one in back. I'd like to put some along the foot boards too I think.

LOL They haven't said anything yet.... I'll let you know what they say if they pull me over. Figured I could play the "I didn't know it wasn't legal to drive with them on, cuz' I'm just a girl and thought they were pretty, and they would make me more visible at night" card at least the first time ;D

What do you mean they're not legal in Cali?! I've done a good bit of research on them (official DMV, as well as CHP), and as long as they are NOT red, and the bulb/source is not directly visible, they are 100% legal. Most people, including LEO's will tell you they are illegal, but if you look at the law, they are legal.
I talked to two separate leo's and the first said he wasn't sure, but he didn't ticket people for them anyway. The other told me flat out that they are illegal, but later he came back to me (I see both semi-regularly) and said he checked up on them and I was right, they are legal as long os the source isn't directly visible. He didn't mention the exclusion of red, but the DMV site said no red on the front of the vehicle.
hehe, I almost forgot.

Thanks for the complements.
I know ignorance isn't an excuse, but if I have to I'd give it a try, if I still get a ticket then get a ticket.
I have never checked NC laws so maybe they're not illegal. Gonna have to do some searching now to find out.

Alright just checked, and the only extra lights not allowed in NC are red or blue. So guess I'm not legal..... oh well still looks cool ;D

Here in south africa they are illegal aswell, though you may fit orange running lights to the sides like a freightliner rig, which in my opinion, anything that can make you stick out like a sore thumb is always best.

Maybe I'm a moron, or just can't read legalese, but I can't figure out whether or not undercarriage light strips are allowed in WA. Can someone translate THIS MUMBO JUMBO and tell me?

It's allowed in PA. Here's the section from Title 75
ยง 4310. Motorcycle lighting. Auxiliary lighting may be added to a motorcycle to protect the driver, including blue dot illumination, standard bulb running lights and light-emitting diode (LED) pods and strips.

hey DivaLisa, put some dabs of red fingernail polish on those, and make em turn purple.. Then you'll be legal, and it will still look AWESOME!
