Hi all and this is a great site. I have a few questions about my scooter and there isn't hardly any information on the web when I do a google search for Wahoo scooter. I bought the scooter used and it runs pretty well, but has a few quirks I'd like to get sorted out. I have a friend who posts here as WS6 who's really helped me get the thing running, but I want to learn how to work on the thing myself so I don't have to rely on others to keep it in good shape.
1) I understand this is a Chinese scooter and many very similar scooters are badged differently. What other scooters will have the same engine/trans/brakes as mine? This will help me find parts, I'd think. I believe the Rocketa is very similar as they look almost identical, but I'm not sure what else.
2) Is there a specific engine/trans code for this scooter so I can figure out what upgrades to buy? Ex: The 50/80cc GY6 4 stroke mods thread. How do I know if these mods will work on my scooter?
3) I have badly warped front rotors that make the whole scooter shake when I come to a stop. Where's a good place to buy scooter parts and how will I know exactly which front rotor to buy given that there is so little info out there for Wahoo scooters?
4) I also have a battery that won't charge. I guess there's something called a stator on a scooter instead of an alternator? Do I just need to replace this in order for the battery to charge?
5) The electric start doesn't work either. It's relatively easy to kick start, but the scooter is for my fiance and I'd really like to get the electric start working again. I'm guessing it's probably a failed connection somewhere because once in a great while it'll try to crank the motor, but the battery is too weak for it to actually turn over. Most times the starter does absolutely nothing.
6) Is there any good online manual for this scooter? I'd love to read up on it so I know when to perform certain maintenance tasks.
