Well, had another side stand altercation on a wet day. Bent my left brake lever like crazy, tried to straighten it and about an inch broke off so ordered a new one from SYM. Really painless process, but gosh, the part was reasonable but they zapped me for ship and handling for almost as much as the part. Anyway, got an Iridium plug and also decided to mod my side stand (check the tips and tricks forum if you have a SYM). Also, found out about a restriction on the lid of my air box so got rid of that. Well, went for a test ride and it feels way stronger and noticeably quicker off the line and mid range feels better. Think the more open intake makes it sound a bit meaner too. Gained about 2 mph on the top end (got up to 44 mph on a downhill with a tailwind ) but it really does feel way more responsive and stronger all around. Didn't have a metric gap gauge, but heard all sorts of debates on gapping an iridium plug (or not) so I just eyeballed it with my old NGK plug and they looked the same so just installed it. The new plug had a cardboard shaft over it to protect the existing gap. Seems to purrrr now. Haha! My old plug was a light tan/brown after almost 1800 km so think I'm tuned in ok. Oh, the side stand mod works great! Not afraid to use it anymore! Man, ain't it cool messin' with these little 2 stroke, 2-wheeled guys! ;D

Soon enough you'll be joining the rest of us with a 70cc kit. You know you want one. ;D
Now you can mess with the 49cc 4 stroke scoots you see around even worse. I live on a 50mph road, where 49s have to ride on the shoulder. I watched a guy go by doing 30-35mph fully tucked like he was getting somewhere. I couldn't help but laugh and think, "aren't you glad you bought a 4 stroke?" lol
I wished mine ran right then, so he could see a big fat man cruise by sitting up doing 50 lol.

I can't help it. On the other hand, he was prob laughing, thinking "look at that sucker with his broke ace scoot." That's O.K., Evil Black Scootie will make it's comeback and demand respect from the 4 strokes. Dave will be doing th same with his new found power.
