I absolutely loathe Wal-Mart, but needed to go and thought riding the scooter would make it more bearable. I was right...it was a blast!
I got my first big thumbs up and a huge smile from - of all people - a little old Mennonite lady in an SUV. Cracked me up.
I parked beside a very nice Harley, and while I was shopping I amused myself with wondering what the Harley rider would think when he came out of the store to see his bike all cozy with my little pink scooter. And when I was done shopping and went to leave...there he was, checking out Miss Piggy with great interest! He asked all the usual questions about speed and gas mileage, was suitably envious of the number of miles to the gallon I get, and contemplated the idea of buying something like it for his wife, except that he doesn't think she'd ride it. Not sure if it was the pink part or the scooter part that he thought would put her off, but...hee!
All in all, it was the most fun I think I've ever had running an errand. I'm pretty much spoiled for cars now.

I run most errands on the scoot.. It was my main reason for getting it... A grocery getter... I love it.. It makes all mundane trips more bearable.. The nice thing about where I live is, I have 4 Walmart stores, 5 Meijer superstores, 4 Best Buys stores, and 25 Grocery stores, 56 Gas Stations, and 6 post offices within a 15-20 minute scoot ride from me... Makes it incredibly convenient..
I just wish that I had more errands to run...

Yeah I pretty much look for errands to do just to have an excuse to ride my scooter! I drive my scooter back and forth to work everyday too rain or shine! I'm telling you I got the fever! And the only thing that will cure it is more scooting! ;D

They will carry a lot . . 40 lb. bag of water softener salt on the floorboard, and a 10 lb. bag of grass seed and spreader in the basket.

LOL...you ought to hook up a clothesline to dry your clothes in the wind...
I'd be afraid some inbred would steal Francis if I parked her at WalMart...I go to Kroger on her for small groceries, and to work, and small shops, but WalMart, I dunno....

When I go to Walmart I always park on the big concrete pad right next to the store by the entrance they push all the carts into. I know my scoot won't get run into there and it someone were to mess with it, they'd be doing it where they're fairly conspicuous. Not saying that means anyone would notice though.

tortoise that's a cool basket ,very handy, as soon as i get my registration i will go straight to wallmart which happens to be my favorite store around, 2miles away from my home. i only see 2 scooter around here, not too much of 2wheeler because of summer heat. i have to find my favorite parking lot there for my scoot, somewhere back in the garden shop.

There are lots of places where you could lock your scooter up onto something else at Wallies. I park near the lawn and garden area. There are plenty of places to chain her up there.

Man...I be skeered of you guy's Walmart....I just got back from my Walmart and I parked in the striped area at the end of the rows near the front. Only thing I've seen near my bike is motorcycles, usually full dressers puttin the intimidation on my little Roswell.

I drive mine everywhere as many errands and trips as I can that don't require more than two people or lots of luggage ....and for longer trips with luggage I pack the scooter on the back of my jeep wrangler with a hitch-mount carrier ....and after the locals LEO's didn't know you could have a handicap placard for a scooter the fine state DOT ended up sending me a Handi-plate so yeha i park in the striped area of the gimp-zone

I park in the striped zone at Walmart here all the time. Never had a cop even look twice at it. I always park right up front so it's visible so no one will take it. I've never even thought about locking my Scoot at Walmart, it's usually so busy there is too many people around to steal it. I hope!

That way you can lock up, and it's usually empty because everyone's too lazy to ride a bicycle.
