Love riding in Ontario in the Fall, Trees changing colour. Tourists gone so roads are less crowded. Smell the farm land/hay fields. Fantastic feeling. Should be able to scoot well into October. Hope everyone enjoys the Fall in their neck of the woods .

I can't wait for fall riding....it is going to be my first season, and favorite. Although I have to say, here in Arkansas, some of the rodes I have ridden on....there is a nice sweet smell to some of the grasses and wildflowers, and it is like an intoxicant......best smell, feeling riding in. Love the open road on these things!

Fall is Other Half's and my favorite season. He hasn't been on his scooter a whole lot (his choice), and what little he has ridden I've mostly initiated, but with the weather getting a little cooler I can tell he's getting anxious to ride. I did about 4 hours yesterday all told, between running errands and then just not wanting to get off my scooter. It was perfect weather for riding.
October is going to be amazing! I can't wait.

Smell the farm land/hay fields. Fantastic:) My mother asked me one time. "why do you insist on riding that thing" I just said. "because of all the neat smells"

My best rides are in the fall, I live along the Saint John river and I love the ride, the scenery is awesome. I am teaching my wife to ride so we can pick a scoot up for her and we can both enjoy the fall... I think the bike work great in the fall temperatures and love the smells of fall.

I'm afraid I'll be facing snow & ice in October here in MT. It already snowed this month in the high elevations! I'm riding every day while I can. I'm too much of a newbie to ride on slick streets, so I'll keep riding on the dry days!

My smells last night weren't very pleasant. I passed something that smelled like somebody pooped on a fan then stuck in a garbage bag beside the rode and turned it on. I had to stop and check make sure I didn't have some slippage. I even looked under the scooter just to make sure it didn't foul up.

I am just amazed at the variety of smells when riding. I live on Easter Long Island, in N.Y. and there are so many sweet smells that I pass. I look around and can't ever find anything that might produce them. I'm glad to hear others enjoy this part of riding a scoot.

Just got a small digital camera for my birthday so that will be in my glove box when I ride. When the leaves start changing here should be some great pictures! Can't wait

Just got back from an amazing fall ride of about 60 miles. Cool but doubled layered myself for the ride. Hills, straight road, curves, farmland, forest(trees changing colour). Met a black bear around one of the curves. Stopped about 40 yards away as we eyeballed each other. She crossed the road and out came two cubs to cross and join her. Stopped by a stream for coffee and listened to the gurgling I went to the St Mary's river where it flows into Lake Superior and watched the tankers/cargo ships for a while. You breathe in the fresh air and thank god you alive kind of ride.
I feel sorry for those that are city bound or have limited access to the kind of riding I get to do.
John

I love autumn riding. trying to document as much as I can this season before the cold winter months take the riding away. The smells of farm fields, misty valleys, campfires, and the fallen leaves are some of the best smells.

Sounds like most of what I like has been covered already. Since this will be my first Fall, I am looking forward to wearing my new textile jacket without all the sweating.... as well as the sights and smells.
