Name is Roger and I would like to say to hi to everyone and thanks to whomever for this site. Only other scooter board I found was the Chinese Scooter club which I don't really care for. I like what I've seen so far. Would like to see more traffic but that will happen with times. I've been cruising this site for about 3 months now and figured its finally time to get logged on and ask a few question.
What kind of scooter do I have? I know it's Chinese, it has Gator 150s decals on it. The plate in the in trunk says Shanghai JMSTAR imported by Jonway Motorcycle USA. 1st 3 vin #s are LJ4. I've noticed a lot of other scoots have damn near the same info on them. Is it a Tank, Roketa, or ? Or are they all the same? I mean I know the motors r the same but what about rest of the scoot? Thanks in advance.
Also can I put 13 rim/tires in place of the 10 inchers? I'm guessing no.

Hello Roger, welcome to the Dawg Pound! ;D I've heard of JMSTAR and Jonway quite a bit. There seems to be some overlap among the different Chinese manufacturer's so do some searches and see what owners say. And no, don't believe you will fit 13" rims and tires on your existing forks.

Jonway that's what I have. The information on that company is very sparce. What cc is the engine? How old is it? I'm a research rat and can find anything practically. 150 does that mean 150 cc's?

Warner Robins, I go to Cochran about twice a month to play golf at the Woods. Yeah there's not much to do around here. I wish I could take the scoot when I play golf but the idea of trying to ride with a golf bag sounds like the formula for roadrash. I made it to a driving range with my driver by sitting on it crossways.

Got a little more than 400 miles on it so far and has yet to give me any problems other than when I washed it the 1st time and I found out the lights are not sealed very well. Clear silicone took care of that. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeppers The woods.. Famers playing golf in camo or overalls. Lol. Know ALL about Cochran ( what little there is of it. ;D ) Just came back from there in June. Lived in W.R. a bit. Heck, most of my kin folk are retired from "The Base."
Anyway, glad to have you at the pound. Have fun with your scoot and ride safe.

Hi Scoots! How are you? How is the scooter? We just got Red Molly out of the shop, again. Now all we need is some cooler riding weather. I am in between jobs right now, so the next scooter is a little farther off. Nickie Bo Bickie
