In case I missed any So Cal people's emails, here's the invite I sent out to everyone this morning: Hello So Cal dawgs, This is your official invitation to our Mulligan Scooter Rally. Day: This Saturday (Sep 27th) Time: 11:00 AM (meet) Location: Puente Hills Mall (1600 S Azusa, City of Industry) Specific Meeting Point: Red X marks the spot Food: We will head over to In-N-Out after we get done chatting 50cc Friendly Ride Route: E on Colima from In-N-Out S on Fullerton E on Pathfinder S on Brea Cyn Cut-Off S on Brea Cyn Road E on State College End at the Olive Garden at Brea Mall The mall is located just south of the 60 Fwy about halfway between the 57 and the 605. There is easy access from north, south, east, and west via side streets so the location is 50cc friendly. If you've never done a rally before (or ridden with someone else) PLEASE don't feel intimidated. We do not ride side by side so it's just like riding on your own. We also will not be doing anything crazy or difficult. After we meet and chat for a while, we'll all mount up and head over to In-N-Out burgers just a bit east of the mall on Colima. Regarding the ride route, we used a stock Honda Metropolitan 49cc to test the route and it works great. We chose this location so that all So Cal scooterists (except maybe San Diego) are within roughly a 1 hour ride to here. If you're not sure of a good route, please don't hesitate to ask and I'll help plan out a safe route to here. I'm pretty familiar with most of So Cal. If you have a chance, let us know if you'll be able to make it so we can make plans accordingly. Look forward to seeing everyone there. Let's go enjoy a great day scootin! Stewy

Due to time constraints on my already established schedule, I will have to forget about comming...on the scooter anyway. I will be there, but on the ninja for time's sake. ;D I have bowling league in the morning at 9am, finish around 10:30 if I rush, and be at the mall by about 11:15-11:25 on the bike, while on the scooter it would be 12ish. Wish I could take the scoot... Aero

Well, it's done! The do-over was quite successful. As always, we would love to have had more, but we had a much better turnout this time. Archimage and I left about 10 and took the "super scenic" route down there. We pulled up just before 11 and saw d sittin in his very shiny Subaru Impreza. A few minutes later, a guy named Rick from Total Ruckus (hardf) showed up on his 50cc Honda Ruckus. He was really good people. Had some neat studs and some very cool extra goodies done up. Hopefully he'll come by scootdawg and post some pics of his scoot. Finally, after heck froze over (jk aero), Aerostudent showed up on his "not-scooter" Kawasaki Ninja. Said something about not liking scooters anymore ;D JK We all stood around and chatted until about 11:45. Had a great time talking about scoots and mods and all that is great. Rode over and enjoyed lunch at In-N-Out where some guy got really angry at us for not giving up Archimage's seat. Good times. We mounted up and took a ride down towards Brea, stopping on the way to take a picture of Dan's backside as he ran across the street. Inside story, would have had to be there. When we pulled into the mall, another guy showed up from total Ruckus. He lived in Fullerton and didn't have time to do the whole ride, but he joined us for a short chat and we had a good time taking pictures and getting busted by the mall rent-a-dufus security guy for California Vehicle Code Section 113951(c)1.2.(a)(c) - Parking a ridiculously small vehicle on a completely unused portion of mall parking lot. Apparently this requires immediate notification of a supervisor and a swift spanking. Fortunately for us, he told us he wouldn't have to tell anybody. Boy are we lucky. We took a few pictures and then all rode home. On the way, we got to see a cool tow truck wrapped around a light pole. Apparently I pulled a "cager" and was looking at the tow-truck instead of at the Police Officer waving at me to go through the blinking red light. Oops. ;D Then Aero helped me tune my carburetor so scootie won't keep stalling out while warming up. That's the goal anyways. So that's about it. The next plan is to have a So Cal Lance GS-R 150 ride sometime. Gotta find all the So Cal people with GS-R's and get together for a ride when we all can work it out. So far, I know that's d, aero, me, and who else? Enjoy the pics. Left to right: Joe (archimage) with his 50cc Honda Metropolitan, Rick (hardf) with his 50cc Honda Ruckus, I don't remember his name (from totalruckus) with his 50cc Honda Ruckus, Stewy (halosfan06) with my Lance GS-R 150cc, Travis (Aerostudent) with his gigantic 250cc Kawasaki Ninja, and Dan (d) with his 300 HP Subaru Impreza.
