Well, back when i was here under the name Javarod, i ran down a list such as it is, and as far as i know nothing's changed, but here's a new copy: SQREAM www.sqream.net/sqreamphoenix.html, the name stands for Scooter Queers Riding Everywhere And More. Kinda obvious that its a gay club, but ifn you're gay or gay friendly, you're welcome. Phoenix Metro Scooterist autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/phoenix_metro_scooterist/?yguid=261458568 is i believe the Yahoo twin to the group that jemiasi mentioned Scarabs www.phxscarabsc.com/I'm banned from there for making suggestions as a newbie, but considering that that month's meeting was a pub crawl, i think that tells you all you need to know about them. Far as i know, that's it for the Phoenix metropolitan area, rather surprising for a metro area that clocked in at 4,179,427 (2007 est).

The yahoo group that "none" mentioned isn't really our twin club, but the list that "none" posted is fairly accurate. There are basically 4 groups worth mentioning and they are: The Scarabs, The Pharaohs, The Go-Go-Rillas (out of Tucson), and our group the Scooter Club of Metro Phoenix (SCMP). Right now SCMP is the largest membership club in the state of Arizona and is continuing to grow. We DO accept suggestions of many kinds and actually encourage member involvement whenever possible. We do not turn anyone away, whatever your creed, and we heavily promote safety in all our activities. We strive for monthly activities that include rides, breakfasts, lunches, and monthly meet and greets to share knowledge, tips, accessories, etc. The Scarabs are a good bunch of people, and I have met a few of them and have even joined them at a meet. But they do attract a different crowd than the SCMP does. The Pharaohs tend to do a lot with the Scarabs and then the Tucson group is, of course, in Tucson, so it really comes down to the type of crowd you are looking to be involved with. Please check out our club at www.meetup.com/Phoenix-Scooter-Club/. I look forward to seeing new faces all the time.

I found out about Scooterfest to late... but I do plan on attending and bringing my "hot rod" scooter with me. My shop is about a 5 minute ride from Scooterfest if anyone is interested in stopping by for a meet and greet then ride over together. I have plenty of parking so that won't be an issue. I plan on leaving about 5 when we close, so anytime before that would work! Here is the address. Performance Scooter 2302 N Scottsdale Rd Scottsdale AZ 85257

Not to blow out your idea at all Performancescoot, we have also set up a meet and short ride. It would be nice if you would join the group as well. It would be nice to chat with another shop owner in the area and get a feel for what you offer. Maybe we can incorporate your shop into future gatherings. I wonder why there has not been any other coverage about this fest. I would have thought that the news would be all over it. Then again, maybe not after this last report!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Announcing a new Meetup for Scooter Club of Metro Phoenix! I found this old post. I just purchased a use MC-54-250B. I am going to do a PDI soon and I was wondering if there is someone local that wouldn't mind helping me out. I am not a motor guy but I am willing to get dirty doing it. It would be nice to have someone with more knowledge than I to help me out.
