I just ordered my scoot yesterday, after much deliberation from ScooterNitro (MachoMan 260). I had a lot of good advise from this site which helped me ask for, and get a good deal from them.
So, unitl I get it, I have a few questions...
When I do my PDI, is there a better brand than another for the oil and other fluids that are recomended to be changed?
Where is a good place to go for rain gear (I live in Ft. Myers Florida, and this will come in handy). Not a poncho or anything...
Any other tips would help as well, including what I can do to make it a little more sporty and upgrade performance.
Thanks!!!!

Hello there jrod18, glad you realize the importance of a proper PDI. There are many threads (and opinions) on oil, but the consensus seems to be; don't use synthetic until your motor is well broken in and change often!
For rain gear, check the ads on the top of the main page as our Top Dawg has some sponsors who help support scootdawg and every little bit helps keep this place alive.
Remember that your gas mileage and power will improve as your motor breaks in so I'd hold off on mods until then.
Search, search, search! You'll be amazed at the info on this site!
And of course, welcome to the Dawg Pound! ;D

jrod18, Welcome to da pound! Rain suits and most other items you need can be found on the Internet at a LOT of vendors, and usually someone will have what you want on sale, just have to shop around. www.motorcyclesuperstore.com is just one of MANY vendors, a google search for motorcycle gear will get you to a ton of places. The sponsors of this forum are all good folks, please check them out before you buy!
