Just picked up a TNG venice for $300. It munched a wrist pin bearing but i was going to put the 70cc kit on it anyways. New to the board and just wanted to share. I am stoked it get it up and running. MRP 70cc kit, and pipe hopefully are coming buy this weekend.

Sounds like a good deal, good luck with it.
If it's a minarelli style engine with a 12mm wrist pin, there is a wiseco wrist pin that may hold up a little better for you. Wiseco #B1043. It won't fit a 50cc because of the length, but should fit a 70cc piston. That's what I use.

Thanks for the info. Measured the wrist pin and she is a 10mm. I am just hoping the new bearing last longer then the stock one. 3200km was on the odometer when she failed.

I had a scooter shop owner tell me the wrist pin bearings are often a weakness in these engines. Oddly enough he told me he's seen the smaller ones fail as fast as 2-3000 miles. Sounds like he was on the money and gave me some good advice. Wish that guy was still in business.

Glad I ordered up two of those bearings. As long as i catch it before one of the needle bearing lodges its self into the pistion like it did before. Hopefully the parts show up today and i can get it going this weekend. I am going to be running a 70cc kit and tuned pipe. I was thinking of just rejetting the carb but i have read lots of post that say i should upgrade to a 19mm carb. Just wondering if anybody here has had good or bad experience running a 70cc kit and pipe with stock carb rejetted?

I use a 70cc kit and pipe with stock carb and jets and it runs great. Another person just posted that their piston melted after putting in a 70cc kit. You shouldn't need to upgrade to a 19mm carb, but you may see some gain. Either way, check your plug. Don't just assume it's right and let it melt itself.

Thanks for the info 90GTVert. I am planning on doing some plug choping and carb adjustments once i get it running and see how rich/lean she will be running.
