Newbie here-please read my post over in 50cc, RE, the scoot I pick up on wed. I'm looking for any ideas that save me time in working it over to running plus as there mentioned , I need to replace the rear housing(tan part) and need a source for a used part-if they're out there. I am an experienced professional(I'll ad that I am retired) mechanic and ride a BMW road bike, but have never worked on/owned a scoot! I've rented them in FL&Mexico and know they are a blast to ride! The only 2 cycle work I've done is my chain saws and string trimmers & they are so dependable that the work is sporadic . Read the few details in the other post and I'll ad more when I've picked it up this week, thanks

Did you get your scoot? I am looking at one on ebay that is located in my area. It is a 2002 with 400 miles. Who knows what it will bring because so far no one has met the reserve price. I really don't need another scoot but if I can buy it right maybe I will.
