I just bought this scooter and it doesn't have an owners manual or repair manual with it. does anyone know where I can get one? I am having a problem with it staying charged. It is 244cc.

Hello sims1955: I believe that is a the same scooter as Roketa MC54-250 or 250B The YY250T is a Honda Reflex clone and very popular, with members on this forum. It also is badged as a whole host of other names. What you first need to determine is it a CFMoto engine 244cc or a Linhai engine 257cc. There is a thread on Chinese engines, with pictures of both. Once you know that then located the right manual should be easy. Check the VIN # and MFG Plate and see who actually Mfg. is most likely it is Jonway.

put your battery ,one cable unhooked, on a low charge rate for 5hrs and look at the diagram below. after charging wait 30 minutes, and read voltage from battery post to post. (or have someone do this) and depending on what you read (voltage) follow directions. now some things you can do, idle up the bike especially it headlights blink or flicker. do this on center stand, just till they quit blinking or flickering, without the rear wheel turning idling with warm engine. a battery maintainer or float charger (low charging just for maintaining usually stays hooked to battery while not riding.) if you are going to ride at least 3-4 days a week 50-100 miles you dont need probably. ( i ride 490 miles a week and i dont need one) bike is charging long enough. the open circuit test above will tell you it you need to charge more or need another battery. it might need charging for 9hrs, just go by the instructions above and let us know. bikes when new are usually idled too slow and a faster idle is ok for new engine breakin also. (they have good but small charging systems, and usually battery is mainly for starting) you will get a lot of good advice soon from others. is the bike new??? yarddog.
