I am a 67 year old retired guy looking for my first scooter. I've ridden motorcycles since I was 25 years old but gave them up about ten years back.
Last year I rode my bicycle from Longview, Washington down the Oregon and California coast to Martinez, California. I was fully self-contained and had a wonderful time. I think I'd like to do it again only this time on a scooter.
I've been hanging out here for several months and have learned a lot. I spent some time last week at a B&M dealer checking out the various models. I found a very nice Lance Duke 250 that I fell in love with. Unfortunately it was only a few hundred dollars beyond my price range. Oh well, maybe a Roketa 150 will follow me home one of these days. Thanks everyone for letting an Old Geezer join your ranks.

Hi geezer and welcome. There are quite a few older scooter riders out and about. A couple of weeks ago I met up with a 69 year old rider who rode from Vancouver Island, British Columbia to St. Augustine, FL. ;D

Thanks for the reply John. That 69 year old is my kind of people. I once herd a radio evangelist say, "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?" I sure wouldn't be 67 years old.

Old? Old? I don't feel old--most days. Some days I feel ancient but scootin makes me happy and takes away the years. I'll be 57 soon (I clicked on the wrong year on my profile and can't find a way back to DOB to change it so Scootdawg thinks I'm older...lol).
Happy scootin....

Geezer; I'm 59 only been scooting for a couple months (back and forth to work) This web site helped me decide whether or not to get a scooter and lots of other things. So far, it seems to me age hasn't had much bearing on my scooting experience. Except i'm pretty cautious compared to the motorcyclists I see out there. Although it good to know there are other "geezers" out here scooting. Stay up. Roy.

I was 80 in April. I ride a SunL 150 and a Qlink Pegasus. I've been on two wheels since 1947.

Hey, tommiefromva and lee79 just made my day. I visited a local B&M a while back and I think the young kid who helped me thought I was looking for mobility scooters. Not for a while, I hope. Thanks to everyone who replied.
