Am I missing an instrument panel light? There doesn't seem to be one illuminating the R.H. side of the speedo and the temp gauge. I would guess there should be one between the speedo and the temp gauge, but I don't see one. Is this by design, or do I have a bad bulb?

Oh -- I'm on an Linhai 300. Almost forgot 2 include that.

I had the same problem on my Vog. The problem was a bad connection inside the bulb socket. pull out the little rubber socket and check if the light bulb is ok, than squeeze the socket with your fingers insert the light bulb back in and see if the light will go on when you start the scooter.

Ok -- How do I get to the bulb socket? Do I have to dis-assemble the entire instrument panel?

You can get to the back of the instrument cluster by taking the windshield off, and removing the dash cover.
