I've been lurking here a couple of weeks and decided to join. Ordered a Roketa Bali 150 a couple of weeks ago and the big truck is coming with it tomorrow. I've got a neighbor who operates a small engine shop out of his garage and he's going to help me with the PDI (and I'm sure with other stuff down the road). I'm nearly 59, semi-retired (whatever that means) ,and I've never driven anything with a motor that had less than four wheels so it should be an adventure. Yes, I will be wearing a helmet. I'm a guitar picker from way back (1961), thus screen name. Bud

Hey scootinpicker, welcome to the Dawg Pound! Hey, I made a living with a geetar in hand for years and years. I'm more of an electric guy but do have a 1972 0-16 N.Y. Martin and a Tacoma DM9 which is surprisingly good. (plus a gut string, two really old Gibsons, 4 or 5 electrics, a bass, a sax, a sitar, a bunch of recorders, a couple of Mesa Boogies and Fender amps, a 60's Ludwig drum kit with all Zildjian cymbals, a synth or two and a ton of recording and live PA gear. Hahahaha ) Hey, keep us posted on your new Roketa. See you already have checked the need for a good PDI which is important. Also, if you're a bit inexperienced on 2 wheels, be sure and check the safety forum. Also read your state's motorcycle manual and drive like you are invisible to the 4 wheelers and you should be fine!
