Hi y'all. I'm Melissa from New Orleans, and I've just started riding a 2007 Honda Met. I love Love LOVE it!! I took it out yesterday for a 2 hour ride all around town. I may never drive my car again.

By your name, I assume this scoot is red? The red ones go faster, you know. ;D
Since you're in New Orleans, you need to check out Big Guy (alias Rich) and get in on his group rides. He's also opening a scoot shop...wouldn't that be a great place to hang out?
Post a pic of your scoot as soon as you can and keep scootin' and smilin'....

Yes, it is red. Actually, the name comes from my red Trek 7300 bike that I ride to work on when it's cool enough outside, which is not right now! I will post a picture soon.

It sounds like it fits you perfect. I am glad to see more females riding on 2 wheelers. My wife wants one, is there any advice I can give her as far as building her confidence up and of course being safe. How long have you been riding and what was the hardest part of riding for you ?

I've only been riding about a month. I think the learning curve was a little better for me because I'm also a bike commuter and I'm used to riding very defensively.
I can't think of anything hard about it!!
