Iam sure most of you have seen these stick-on items that are supposed to put out a sound that deters Deer from your scooter path.I have two as they come in pairs and read the mounting instructions as they are supposed to be on a certain side.they look the same but they don't sound the same to animals. there are horses, mules and cattle fenced, all along a road and anytime I scoot by there since intalling these, they move away 50 yards or more before I get pass them. does not effect dogs and I hope they deter deer as I have no way to check that they do.every little bit helps... wildbill

Your scooter makes a lot of noises as you ride along. Tire noise, the sound of the air being pushed aside as you move through the air. The engine has a lot of noises emanating from it. How do you know those aren't what the animals here? I don't see those little whistles as making any noise that could be heard over all the noises emanating from the scooter as it goes by. My dog hears my scooter coming a mile away, and she knows it is me, and not some other rider of a different bike. I can only fool here once, as she recognizes some noise it makes that is unique to it alone.

Animals that are hunted often are very familiar to certain sounds. One of the sounds is gunfire, Next is, wolves howling, or Cougar sounds; depending what's prevalent in your area. Do a recording that's not too obtrusive and setup a speaker facing forward on your scoot. Combined all three and I personally doubt any critter would be around ever. Live long......riding.

hey pukame, Attention!Iam no longer in that business of trying to convince someone that an item actually works.read the paragraph I wrote already. It worked for me on my 150 and today at walmart I got another pair for my linhai 260. most ly deer around the mississippi river area I live in in north mississippi are not the deer that were hunted last year,we have an ever increasing new group of young at this time of the year and the does are out in large numbers foraging along the sides of highways or near highways in our area and return usually before light to their fawns.I didn't mean to rattle on.Oh,why not. p.s. you can drive by the fenced in dometicated animals very slowly and these little items must make a sound they do not like, slow or fast. At ease.wildbill

they're only 5 bucks.could save your life.pukame2...bill Since our deer are spooked easily, it doesn't take much to get them off the roads here. Sounds have a way of doing that, but if your way works for you, great. I thought IMO, I was offering another opinion. Keep the love......riding.

I am pretty sure this is the funniest thread I have ever read in my life... I'll bite... I use a 50mm cannon on the front of my Roketa Cyprus and that has done the trick for bears, cougars, yeti, aliens, cops... even hollywood liberals - One blast'll do ya! There is one stretch of road with GIANT mountain lions (pesky devils), I have considered inventing a sort of tactical-nuclear-warhead-machine-gun for my scoot to clear them out - but have run into difficulty with the permit office. They seem to feel plasma rifles are MORE than enough for terrestrial pests... Must be nice to sit in those ivory towers and make all the rules for us mortals out here in the real world...

jiujitsu,
that is hilarious, and you get a scooby snack for going to all the effort of actually photoshopping a cannon onto your mc-54
