Hi everyone, I am an older dawg making my first entry into the world of contemporary scoots. I've lurked on this board for a few weeks and learned a lot from other posters so I hope to share my experiences with you as they develop. I will be proceeding on arrival with the post delivery inspection (PDI) and break-in procedures as outlined on the board. Placed my order on the internet after reviewing the specs of various models and their makers. My choice of the Roketa Bali 150cc was accepted just before they jacked up the price because of growing demand. So far so good, right? I chose this particular scoot because it had front ABS and rear disc brakes, a moderate-size common engine with Japanese components, a decent windshield, and a comfortable seat with some back support. I thought it was relatively inexpensive, looked nice and would be fun to ride. And hey, Scootdawg, thanks for making this great forum available!

Hey gordons, I got my first scoot about 4 months ago when my dealer had maybe 30 in stock. Went out there the other day and counted 3, so yeah, cool you got a good price right before the big increase. I see you're aware of the importance of the PDI so you should do just fine.
And welcome to the Dawg Pound! ;D

Hi Gordons.....welcome to the board!
I live in Puyallup and have a Kymco Grand Vista, which I purchased late April of this year. Don't worry about being "older". I'm 29 & 363 months! (I turned 59 last May.) Owning a scooter is absolutely great! You might just find yourself waking up in the middle of the night and contemplating a "Midnight Ride". I sometimes driving for an hour to get to the store 1.7 miles away.
Enjoy your new scoot and keep us posted. This is an excellent board!
