You really want to check Honda and Yamaha if you need a bunch of after market parts. Thing is, once you put on an unrestricted exhaust, you're not gonna be CARB anymore.

Is it such a good idea to own a scooter named RATTLER?

thats what i was looking at. it looks awsome. i want something that can do weelies. (i made my tank 50 get the front tire off the ground today, its ALOT of work tho.) so is there a big aftermarket scene for the 2 stroke scooters? is there such a thing as a CHEAP somewhat fast 2 stroke scooter?

Rattler is fast indeed--55 MPH top speed. However, can the Rattler cruise all day long at 50 MPH?

Rattler is fast indeed--55 MPH top speed. However, can the Rattler cruise all day long at 50 MPH? I test rode the Rattler 110, it's a fun and quick little thing, My wife's Zuma has ran many 38 mile trips wide open, my thoughts are in the stock form there has to be lack of lubrication for the two stroke to blow up, (oil injection failure) Or going to lean.

you do know that if you dont like the idea of oil injection you can always mix your own gas and put it straight into the tank. just dont fill the oil injector.

why not drop the rear end of your scooter and put in a two stroke rear end.

i think finding the 2 stroke rearend will be really hard.
i think it would be a trip if i happened to put a 85 dirtbike rearend in the scooter.....
but i think the california dmv would throw a hissy fit

Been waiting for someone to mention the Super 9 ;D I am pleased with mine, a few performance mods and it can hit 45 easy (actual) all day long and 50 when the wind, moon and tides are aligned. Mods so far are a pipe and a bigger jet. The heavier clutch springs (1500 RPM) gives a nice pop off the line too. Soon I will get an Airsal 73cc kit, tuned pipe, and 19mm carb. This set up should hit 60MPH. I have a CT variator coming which, with just the 50cc, allow me to wheelie and out accelerate just about anything else in the 50 size...... the CT variator is designed for drag racing. Easy to wrench on, reliable scoot, 7000 miles so far and still runs strong. <---- Kymco fanboy

I had a Vento Triton bored and stroked to 103cc along with all of the other parts. It could easily hit a top speed of 68mph and cruise all day at 55-60. Look for a used minarelli based scooter (Zuma, Zip, Triton, etc) and put a couple hundred into the engine and you will have a fast bike. Parts are easy to find for them, the Zuma and Triton have more parts available for them. I bought and built this for under $700. i124.photobucket.com/albums/p35/ryan_ott/P8060302.jpgwww.youtube.com/watch?v=jWIpbPOY_MkThe video isn't the best because of the angle.

I have a de-restricted Lambretta Due50 (rebadged Adly Panther). It uses a minarelli clone engine so lots of parts fit. Does over 40 mph right now and I've not tried to go faster since I'm in the break in period (and that's 40 mph with me and my son riding 2 up - so 40+ with 260 lbs on level ground).
Small 2 strokes are easily moded out - it's a common thing.

thats cool and ive seen that scooter before but how'd you find it that cheap??!!. I think I was lucky to find it for $80. The guy needed cash quick and it wasn't in the greatest condition when I first got it, Broken panels no spark. Parts are easy to come by for them.
