This site is great. I am new to the forum and have recently started researching what kind of bike to buy. Probably a 250 cc or less... any brand suggestions or ones to stay away from? I'm not sure if I want a 125 cc or something bigger.

What part of AZ do you live? I am so happy with my 250cc Honda. It was expensive but it does what I need to do which is get to work on the freeway while getting close to 70mpg. If you don't see the need to ever take the freeway, a 150cc is a great way to go. Lighter, smaller, and even better mpg. I will be getting one for my wife eventually because my scoot at nearly 400 lbs is too heavy for her and she would never get on the freeway on two wheels anyway.

I live in Tucson. I think I have decided on a Buddy 150, People 150, Zuma 125 or Piaggio 150. Any advice on which on is better? I will just use it around my house. I'll need to go about 50 mph or so at the most to keep up with traffic.

I test road the buddy 125 and the buddy 150 and I was very impressed with them but I need to ride on the freeway so I needed something bigger. The buddy 150 was so fast! Even faster than my Reflex 250 off the line but the 125 goes at least 60 so it would do what you need from the sound of it. Scoot Over is a good shop. Better get an order in because the last time I was in they didn't have any Buddys in stock! They have been selling like crazy.

Well I am a new scooter owner! I found a used 2007 genuine 110 rattler for sale. It is alot of fun. I figured its a great starter bike, and my son likes that its not girlie bike.
Its a 2 stroke, so I have to check the oil often. What kind should I use?
Any place I should look for good deals on gear?
I'm in the process of getting my license and registered for MSF class, but its not till October!
Thanks for all of the advise! I'll get a photo soon and post it!
