I bought one of these jackets a couple weeks ago on closeout and when it arrived turned out to be a very nice. It has all the features I was looking for and looks good on top of that. I would recommend getting a size bigger than the chart calls for and using some of the adjustments to snug up the jacket. I'm not associated with the company in any way, just figured I'd give people a cheap option for a protective jacket. Shipped to my door it was about $55. I looked around at bang for the buck and this seemed to be best I could find. www.bikebandit.com/product/8736

Glad you thought the same about the jacket. I was surprised when I received it. I've been wearing it everyday now for the last couple weeks and really like it.

Anyone notice the price change on these? It says they're now $108. Wow, I paid under $50 for mine before shipping. Wonder why there would be such a huge change.

checked that out only have sizes xs s 5xl lol Guess I didn't look very close. With a little research there is inexpensive gear out there so money should not come before safety.

I picked up a TourMaster padded mesh jacket for $99 at a local Biker store.. I like it a lot. I haven't seen that brand yet... I would have bought online - as I do with like 80% of my purchases for anything (including scoot ) but I was unsure of fit and such. I wore and XL at the MSF training class, but they said they thought some of those jackets may have been miss badged on sizes - as one guy who always wears XL needed XXL, and the tour master i bought was L... When I was trying it on at the store - I was doing so with intention of just try then go home and buy but it was a local store and I couldn't resist helping out the Local Joe.

I`m all for helping out the "local Joe" when it`s a helpful shop, however where I live there`s only one shop in town and they know it! They price thier stuff as it should should be in a jewelry case.Plus if you ever have any questions it`s "whata-YOU-want",not ever "can I help you"--thanks for websites like this we can get info.& stuff on sale now and then. Gas prices and food prices are making it hard on us in the "working class" !! scoot-safe--

Usually's that's the case at the other moto-shops around here, but this is a great shop. Too bad you don't have a good store around you. The guy here comes out all decked out in leather and gruff looking face, and then calm smooth nice voice and great personality..

Bah, see the sizing chart? I'd have to get like a 10 or 11 XL because I'm soo big Can't find one to fit me. Got like a 62 or 64 inch chest.

I picke up a Nitro mesh jacket at a shop in Dallas. The sleeves are a little long for me but it's a good jacket. Very cool with the wind blowing through it. Getting a little cold in it now even with the liner so I'm layering underneath until I find a warmer jacket.

This forum had really gotten me to thinking about mine and my wife's safety. This past Sunday afternoon I went on a benifit ride in our community for a friend who has cancer. I was the lone scooter rider in a pack of about 25 to 30 motorcycles on the ride. One thing that I did notice was that everyone had their signature leather on. I know that leather isn't exactly armor, but it is probably a lot better protection than the insulated coveralls that I was wearing. Well, this evening me and my wife went to a local motorcycle shop and bought each other Aqua Tour jackets for Christmas. $139.95 each. That by no means is what I call cheap, but we were able to size them in the store and knew what we were getting. Next month, or at least by spring, we hope to get the Fieldsheer pants and gloves. I guess what I am trying to say is that we were lucky all last riding season. We got by with minimul protection and no incidents. That is a gamble that we should not have taken and one that we do not intend to repeat.
