I have recently purchased a used TNG LS 49. It ran great for about two weeks. Then one evening close to my house while traveling 15 to 20 MPH and accelerating, I lost any ability to go. There is battery power as all signals and lights come on, and the electric start works. I am getting no throttle. I have VERY little knowledge about scooters and mopeds and I would apperciate it if anyone could give me ideas as to what to check to locate the problem. THANKS! Terry

You need to give more details... when you say the starter works, does it start up? Is it just when you turn the throttle nothing happens? If so, your throttle cable is probably broken.

IF you push the starter button the starter tries to start yet it will not. I have not been able to start since the other night. I wondered if the cable could be broken. Where would a good place to get a new cable if neccessary? If the cable is broken is it an easy repair? Thank you.

You don't need the throttle for the scooter to start or run. More likely a fuel problem. Start by checking your fuel and vacuum lines for kinks or bends. Your fuel pump may have gone out as well.
